Based on a true story. Except things are not true
last winning work of John Landis parade faces a world of iconic film fun and diverse. From the unmistakable grin of Tim Curry (I'll remember for The Rocky Horror Picture Show ) funny in the eyes of Andy Serkis (Gollum in The Lord of the Rings ) to the charm of white-haired Christopher Lee (the famous face targati Hammer horror, and recently immortalized it in the role of Saruman The Lord of the Rings) are so many names to mention. All well set in a Scottish scene in the first half of the nineteenth century, to be his shoulder, a substantial list of directors who perform in small cameos to satisfy the game more fun that architectural wizards of Landis.
William Burke (Simon Pegg) and William Hare (Andy Serkis) live Misrepresentation of ideas and flukes. Docile and the first conscientious, shrewd and reckless second, capture at the chance to earn some money fiddling corpses. In Edinburgh, in fact, the war of the most famous surgeons began. Dr. Monroe (Tim Curry), did pass a law to prevent rival Dr. Knox (Tom Wilkinson) to receive delivery of fresh corpses to be cut during his lectures. For the progress and glory, dr. Knox gladly welcomes two shady dealer, irrespective of the mode of recruitment of corpses. been years since John Landis was seen behind a camera. Author who, in a light-hearted and never pretentious, made his mark with memorable films like Animal House (1978), The Blues Brothers (1980), An American Werewolf in London (1981), Two an armchair (1983) now back with a comedy flavor macabre and engaging.
The "LA" of narrative is sung by a natural Executioner doing his routine work, and now you have the perception that the notes are just hilarious life into death. Hence, the step to become attached to two clumsy assassins improvised is short, and respond with their participation in the wink is as easy as enjoying the most human instincts. After all, it's all true ... except that it is not! In the dirt streets of Edinburgh will ride the farcical life. In a carnival of excess and exchanged roles you are at home, and justice comes only for those who can play better cards. Splashes of blood and severed limbs, it's all too true to be able to believe really, it feels almost wrong to laugh taste. And you know what to reach the possible conclusions? You were missed, John Landis!
RECIPE
to propose a recipe suitable for the splatter and comedy wise it would take a chef titrated. Or an unhealthy idea! I would opt for a second .... do not know any chef.
The secret to this recipe is in the aromas. Like a good comedy softens the sight of blood flowing copiously.
fried INTERIOR
innards of veal (or pork or lamb, depending on your preference)
a glass of red wine
2 garlic cloves 1 onion
laurel
rosemary thyme parsley
oil salt pepper
In a saucepan, bring salted water to a boil with a bay leaf and let cuocerele entrails. Drain and set aside. Fry the onion and garlic in a large pot coated with oil from the bottom. Add the giblets chopped small enough. Sprinkle with a little wine. Season with other spices, and when the wine has evaporated, pour the remainder. Serve hot when all the wine has evaporated.
Alternatively you can cook the vegetables dipped in broth and half-cooked add the tomatoes.
